Hey, it’s a fact: over 60% of Mississippi jobs require some college or post-secondary credential. That means getting an education beyond high school is more important than ever.

And whether you’ve set your sites on a 4-year university, a community college, or a technical program, completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only way to qualify for and get access to federal financial aid.  Remember, “college” comes in many flavors these days, and that’s a good thing. At Get2College we’re here to help you make your future happen.
Get2It. First U Hafta-FAFSA

Not sure what’s next for you?

That’s okay, figuring out what you want to do is a big step. We can help. The important thing is, there’s a wider world of opportunity open to you than you may have realized, you just need to take advantage of it.

But first, you haf-ta FAFSA!

For example, doing so opens the door to grants—as in FREE money—that you don’t have to pay back. Here are just a few:

  • Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
  • In Mississippi:
    • HELP
    • MTAG
    • MESG

Think fast: fill out the FAFSA!

What difference does a day make? The FAFSA is not only used for state and federal financial aid, it’s also used for private scholarships and direct assistance from the college or university — and they all have different deadlines! So the sooner you complete the FAFSA, the better your chances of getting aid.

$3 billion in aid goes unclaimed every year because the FAFSA is submitted late or never submitted at all.

Completing the FAFSA before March 31 is the first step in applying for the Mississippi HELP grant and 4 years of full tuition aid! Don’t wait!

FAFSA at your fingertips.

It’s easier than ever to fill out the FAFSA. Get help from Get2College staff and school counselors to answer questions and complete the form. You can also complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA form using the myStudentAid app for iOS or Android. The myFAFSA component—which is used to complete the FAFSA form—is one of the app’s many functions.
